Concón is a city located on the central coast of Chile, in the Valparaíso region.
The area where Concón is located has been inhabited for centuries by the Chango and Picunche indigenous peoples.
During colonial times, the area was an important port of call for ships sailing the Pacific.
In the 19th century, the area became a center of salt production, but the industry declined as demand waned.
In the 1920s, the construction of a coastal highway improved access to the area, and it began to develop as a tourist destination.
Today, Concón is known for its gastronomy, especially its seafood dishes, and for its beautiful beaches such as Playa Amarilla, Playa La Boca and Playa Los Lilenes.
In addition, the city has a wide variety of accommodation options, from hotels to vacation homes and cabins.
