Curicó is a city located in central Chile, in the Maule Region.
Known as the "city of cakes", it is famous for its gastronomy and its wines, being an important wine-growing area. Among its attractions are the Provincial Museum of Curicó, the Church of San Francisco, the Cerro Carlos Condell Park and the Plaza de Armas.
In addition, near Curicó there are various spas and nature reserves, such as the Altos de Lircay National Reserve and Iloca beach.
To get to Curicó you can take a bus from Santiago, the capital of Chile, with a travel time of about 2 and a half hours. It is also possible to arrive by car on Route 5 South.
Curicó is located in the central valley of Chile, about 200 kilometers south of Santiago and about 50 kilometers east of the coastal city of Constitución. Its strategic location makes it a link point for various travel routes through central and southern Chile.
