El Quisco is a commune located in the province of San Antonio, in the Valparaíso Region of Chile.
It was founded in 1894 as a fishing village and has evolved into a popular tourist destination due to its great natural beauty and white sand beaches.
In the 19th century, the cove of El Quisco was used as a shipping port for mining production from central Chile.
In 1902, a railway line was inaugurated that connected El Quisco with Santiago and other important urban centers in the region.
During the 20th century, the commune experienced significant growth due to tourism, which became one of the main economic activities in the area.
Currently, El Quisco is famous for its beautiful beaches, such as Playa los Enamorados, Playa El Quisco, Playa Punta de Tralca, and for its large number of restaurants and cafes that offer fresh seafood and fish.
