Puerto Williams is located on Navarino Island, in southern Chile.
It is considered the southernmost human settlement in the world and is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, such as the Darwin Mountain Range and the Beagle Channel.
In addition, it is very close to Antarctica, which makes it an important starting point for scientific expeditions to that region. The city also has an airport and a port, from where ferries can be taken to other parts of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago.
Located more than 2,500 kilometers from Santiago (capital of Chile), 287 km in a straight line from Punta Arenas, 50 km from Ushuaia (Argentina), and 160 km north of Cape Horn.
The means of communication are air and sea. By plane you arrive on regular flights from Punta Arenas that arrive in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The journey sailing from Punta Arenas lasts 34 hours.
