Punta Arenas is an important city in the extreme south of Chile, so it has various transportation options.
The most common way to get there is by plane, since it has an international airport that receives daily flights from Santiago and other Chilean cities.
It is also possible to arrive by road through Route 9, which connects the city with the north and south of Chile, or by ferry from Puerto Montt or Puerto Natales.
Finally, there are cruise ships that call at Punta Arenas during the summer season.
