Talca is a Chilean city located in the Maule region, in south-central Chile.
It is the capital of the province of Talca and has a population of around 250,000 inhabitants.
Known for its rich history, Talca was founded in the 18th century and has witnessed important historical events in the history of Chile, such as the Battle of Cancha Rayada in 1818.
The city is also famous for its wine production, the Maule region being one of the most important in the country in this area.
