Calama is a city located in the Antofagasta region, in northern Chile.
It is located on the eastern edge of the Atacama Desert, one of the driest regions in the world, and at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level.
It limits to the north with the commune of Ollagüe, to the east with Bolivia, to the south with the communes of San Pedro de Atacama and Antofagasta, and to the west with the Pacific Ocean.
Its strategic location makes it an ideal starting point to explore the Atacama Desert and its unique natural landscapes.
