To get to Castro, the main city of the Island of Chiloé, you can take a flight to the Mocopulli Airport located 20 kilometers south of Castro, or take a bus from the city of Puerto Montt, which is 170 kilometers of distance.
It is also possible to arrive by ferry from the city of Quellón on the Island of Chiloé or from the city of Chaitén on the Carretera Austral.
Once in Castro, you can use the local taxi, colectivo and bus services to move around the city and its surroundings.
