Iquique is a city located in the extreme north of Chile, in the Tarapacá region.
It is located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and borders to the north with the commune of Alto Hospicio, to the east with the commune of Pica, to the south with the commune of Pozo Almonte and to the west with the sea.
The city is located in a coastal valley surrounded by hills, highlighting the Dragon hill and the San Marcos hill. Iquique is located about 1,800 km north of Santiago, the capital of Chile.
