Mocha Island is a small territory located in the Pacific Ocean, about 35 kilometers from the coast of the Biobío Region in Chile.
It is a mysterious island, surrounded by Mapuche legends and myths, which consider it a sacred and spiritual place.
In the year 1563, it was discovered by the Spanish navigator Diego de Almagro, and in the year 1599 it was visited by the English corsair Thomas Cavendish.
Since then, it has been the scene of several confrontations between the indigenous people and the Spanish conquerors and has been used as a strategic point to control maritime traffic.
Until today, the island preserves its natural beauty and its rich culture, becoming a tourist attraction for those who seek tranquility, adventure and contact with nature.
