La Herradura is a town located on the Pacific Ocean coast, in the Coquimbo Region, Chile.
It is located approximately 8 km south of the city of Coquimbo and about 15 km north of La Serena.
The town is located on Route 5, the main road that crosses the country from north to south, and has a service station and a small port.
It is also close to La Serena airport, which is approximately 20 km away.
