Marchihue is a commune and town located in the Cardenal Caro province, in the O'Higgins region, in south-central Chile.
It is located approximately 161 km south of Santiago and 57 km west of the city of San Fernando.
It limits to the north with the commune of Pumanque, to the east with the communes of Placilla and Peralillo, to the south with the commune of Navidad and to the west with the Pacific Ocean. The town of Marchihue is the communal head and is located about 12 km from the coast.
