Osorno is a city located in southern Chile, in the Los Lagos Region.
Known as the "Gateway to the South of Chile", it is located in a valley surrounded by mountains and rivers, including the Rahue River that runs through the city.
German colonial architecture is one of its distinctive features, and its historic center has numerous buildings of this style.
In addition, the city is an important commercial, tourist and educational center of the region. Tourist attractions include the Osorno Volcano, Llanquihue Lake, the Llanquihue National Reserve and Pelluco Beach.
