Puerto Varas is a city located in the Los Lagos region of Chile, on the shores of Lake Llanquihue and at the foot of the Osorno volcano.
It is known as "The City of Roses" due to its beautiful flowery gardens.
Among its main attractions are the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, Todos los Santos Lake, Osorno Volcano, local breweries, and the city's German-style architecture.
To get to Puerto Varas from Santiago, you can take a direct flight to El Tepual International Airport in Puerto Montt, located 30 km from the city.
It can also be reached by road taking Route 5 South to Puerto Montt and then Route 225 that connects Puerto Montt with Puerto Varas.
Puerto Varas is located about 1,000 km south of Santiago and is a very popular tourist city for both Chilean and foreign tourists.
