Quemchi is a commune located on the island of Chiloé, in the Los Lagos Region, Chile.
It was founded by the Spanish in the mid-17th century and since then it has been an important fishing and agricultural center, as well as an important connection point between the different towns on the island.
In the commune you can find important historical places, such as the fort of San Antonio de Quemchi and the church of San Antonio de Padua, which dates from the 18th century and is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Quemchi is known for its beautiful coastal landscape, where you can find beaches, cliffs, and forests.
