San Pedro de Atacama is a tourist town located in the north of Chile, in the Antofagasta Region.
Surrounded by the Atacama desert, it is known for its impressive natural landscapes such as the Valley of the Moon and the Tatio geysers.
In addition, it has important archaeological remains of the Atacameño culture, such as the Quitor fortress and the Tulor village.
The town itself has charming colonial architecture and is full of craft shops and restaurants serving typical local dishes.
