San Pedro de Atacama is a small city located in the Atacama desert, in northern Chile.
Known for its natural beauty, hot and dry climate, and rich cultural history, it is a popular tourist destination in the country.
Among its attractions are the Valley of the Moon, the Salar de Atacama, the Tatio geysers, the altiplanic lagoons and numerous archaeological sites.
To get to San Pedro de Atacama, you can take a flight from Santiago to Calama and then a transfer by bus or private vehicle. It can also be reached by bus from several cities in Chile and neighboring countries such as Argentina and Bolivia.
Located in the Antofagasta Region, San Pedro de Atacama is located on the northern limit of the country, near the border with Bolivia.
