San Pedro de Atacama is a city located in the Antofagasta region, in northern Chile.
It is located about 1,600 km from Santiago and about 100 km southeast of Calama.
It is located in the Andean highlands, at an altitude of 2,407 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountains and deserts.
It is a gateway to visit the tourist attractions of the Atacama desert, such as the Valley of the Moon, the Tatio geysers, the Cejar Lagoon and the Atacama Salt Flat.
